liberty loves

well the day is finally here the nike x liberty london 'virtual light print' pack finally releases today after what feels like years upon years!

the collection is now available now over at liberty the pack includes a free run 0.5, bruin lite, dunk sky hi and of course the iconic air max 1 which i have no doubt you have all seen popping up over social media the past few months.

the release finally comes to it's home of the UK after a long wait after some international stores already released.

at first i have to admit i wasn't too in love with the choice of liberty pattern for this release, personally i am attracted to liberty x nike releases for their iconic floral prints and summer feminine colours - although i am a sucker for a gum sole, i am still undecided on this particular colour way and print style.

the virtual light liberty print has been developed using luminous fabric built of pixels from a digital projection, it was originally a screen grab that was then taken forward to layer and develop this print. the print is a different approach for the company who usually work with rotary and screen printing methods, so this digitally manipulated design is up to date with the modern loves in CAD design and digital print technology

- okay, when i put it that way, i begin to love the concept for this design.

the air max 1 features a poppin' orange air unit, gum sole and full grain creamy white leather swoosh!

head over to liberty's website now to grab your pair, via here - as these are sure to fly off the shelves! though as most nike releases, if you end up unlucky in grabbing this pair i'm sure as tradition the pack will be released at a later date from office/offspring stores and niketown - keep your eyes peeled for more info!
