180 degrees

so i had a really exciting post day today of my 180 ultramarine 2005 release all the way from the US! i have been searching for this shoe for 3 years, nearly gave in and purchased a pair in uk5.5 for £150 last month but gut instinct told me to hang on! i'm so glad i did as i managed to scoop this dead-stock pair in a uk5 for £50 including postage! (did feel slightly like i was robbing the seller blind but heyyyy!)

i'm over the moon! after the 'vintage' effect OG release of these and the EM the past year i thought i was never going to be able to pick up a real OG pair for a sensible price, or in a small size - as far as i'm concerned you cannot beat the real mccoy and i'm pleased my hard hunting paid off!

this colour way is one of my favourite from nike, and i absolutely love the silhouette of the shoe. the larger air unit design in the 180 means they are super, super cushioned and supportive. the iconic air 180 was first released in 1992, created by tinker hatfield. the design concept was to have a shoe with an even larger air unit, which contains 50% more air than previous air max releases of the time. the clear air unit could be viewed from 180 degrees and voila! air max 180 was born!

my little 2005s are in perfect condition considering they are 8 years old (according to the label their birthday is 14/07/05) the air unit has yellowed but it's a minor to me, the paint is still in amazing condition and they have been stored really carefully in the original box. i'm currently out in the garden catching some rays and working on a new summer collection for young reckless hearts which we will be launching at sneaks & peaks in august, so had to grab some snaps of my new sneaks!

i'm so happy the weather has shaped up, these babies are going to get plenty of wear!
