adidas 2014 collection viewing

a few weeks ago myself and the unisex mode girls where invited along to view the 2014 spring/summer collections from the brand with the 3 stripes - adidas.

held in the brands uk showroom, collections ranged from garments which will be distributed worldwide to own brand stores and independent, right up to the exquisitely constructed and designed Y-3, Porsche Design Sport, Raf Simons and Opening Ceremony - to name but a few.

adidas originals - s/s '14
adidas come through with another amazing print concept - the brand never ever disappoint in the key piece details within the originals line. within the collection a beautifully constructed windbreaker with neon half sleeves/underarm detail won me over. the snake skin print - a favourite throughout a lot of adidas' collections, is also featured on a long-sleeve polo, leggings and an amazing loose fit vest dress (more on that in a later post). the collection combines marl grey jersey, neon windbreaker fabrics, with a staple forest green all complimented perfectly with snake print. again adidas come through with silhouettes that are brilliantly unisex, but where aimed at the female market fit every curve with flattering lengths also.

another classic reworked for s/s 2014 is the infamous adidas superstar. the classic silhouette has been vamped up with a brilliantly 90s girl band feel with a solid white platform and polka dots. if you, like me have been searching for a comfy shoe for a night out but don't dare go near a stiletto - this is the one! - adidas originals online

adidas x opening ceremony

as always the adidas x opening ceremony collection was breathtaking. a perfectly put together collection of feminine pastels with a sports luxe cut. a wonderful textured dot print featured on pieces contrasted with bold colour lines running through the seams and piping. the collection consists of bra-lets, cigarette pants and pleated skirts following through into delicate knits and cardigans. the brands come together in a typically japanese way of garment construction and design, with the most effortless sophistication. - opening ceremony online

as adidas continues to push their #allinformygirls campaign it's safe to say they certainly haven't let us girls down in things to look forward too next season. a brand that certainly does try to push the boundaries of sports/street silhouettes for a feminine figure. i look forward to seeing all the garments begin to filter into stores come the new year, and it's safe to say i have my eye on a fair few key pieces!

pow pow patta

the images of the patta winter 2013 have been released and it's a corker of a collection. all set for the release at the london patta pop-up store later this month, the large capsule collection features staples such as tees, pullovers, bucket hats and crew necks with some rather grown-up and refined classic outerwear pieces by grenfell, made in london.

i love allllll of the collection, by far my most favourite colour palette too with blacks, whites and pop colours of a gorgeous purple, plum, navy and a green that resembles the colour of $$$$ bills. the london pop-up store will be the first to release the collection alongside other exclusives (keep your eyes peeled) followed by patta themselves' online and in-store release the week after.

safe to say i will be couting down the days to make some purchases of this collection, with the brand yet again showing no signs of stopping with their perfectly cohesive collection aesthetics and execution.

it's safe to say patta got love for all, especially us over in england!

today i was stoked to be hooked up by bombtrack bikes to get my dreeeeeam bike from them in germany! being that its going to be my first fix wheeled bike, i was being super picky on the frame and style i wanted to go for! the divide frame is perfect, i can't wait for it to arrive! though i am not looking forward to falling off trying to adjust myself to not casually coasting down hills.

so, i started looking into a bunch of accessories i could buy for when riding my new bike - foot-straps, bags, lights e.t.c and thats when i stumbled across restrap

restrap are a homegrown brand from yorkshire, who dedicate time into creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing bike accessories and clothing. the brand started life as a bedroom brand created by nathan hughes and has now blossomed through hard work into a fully fledged leeds independent operating from their own workshop.

the brand pride themselves on innovation, using recycled fabrics within their products and also designs that have a real bespoke edge to them. everything is handmade, something which i love! and being a team of cycle fanatics, they are constantly reaching out to broaden their product ranges - now venturing into frames and parts design. each product is launched after being extensively tested under every condition to ensure each product is durable and performs perfectly.

the brand are also linked with the north race a non profit organisation striving to create a cycling community through events, parties and all things north. bringing people together from all levels of cycling experience to create a central hub of knowledge and friendship.

below are a few of my favourite products from the brand, check them out and make a purchase of some bespoke, handmade commuter products! i'm sold on their foot-straps, which i will be hoping to get hold of once my new bike arrives - viva la yorkshire!
