terrible movement - SS'14 mixtape

berlin based brand terrible movement present their spring summer 2014 collection. aptly named the mixtape lookbook, the collection is inspired by dreamy 90s memories of teenage angst with plenty of attitude.

the collection features a range of bold, cute handwritten slogans which pay homage to our favourite songs and artists of our childhood years. taking inspiration from textbook doodles and teen fanzines, the fonts capture the concept of this collection perfectly.

photographed by the incredibly talented alexandra waespi in beautiful 35mm, fuji film and an adapted land camera - the shots have a wonderful wishy-washy whimsical feel. bringing a rainbow colour palette to summer 2014, the collection has me ticking off the days until british summertime begins!

central to the brands distinctive aesthetic, screen printing is explored further for spring/summer 2014 - with the use of a split fountain print technique. this technique blends ink together to create a gorgeous gradient effect, with flecks of colour - making each piece individual, perfect in its imperfections.

this care free, youthful approach to design adds that little extra edge to the brand which i love. every collection is cohesive and matches the market and concept perfectly and at the highest quality - terrible movement is guilt and sweatshop free

shot in front of colourful home painted backdrops to echo the brands handcrafted aesthetic, the collection has a wonderful soft and honest feel. featuring classic styles from the brand such as the 'kiss me' muscle tee and the brands 'terrible' tee - new designs include a 'cry baby' crop top alongside low cut muscle tee's adorned with 'who's rad'.

check out the full lookbook below, and all designs are available now to purchase over on the brands website.

shore projects - from the coast with love

shore projects project 1 first collection seaside british summer coastal beach life lifestyle lookbook watches

inspired by the beauty of the british seaside, shore projects was started by a group of friends with an ambition to create a timeless, quality product for everyday wear. designed with charming, simplistic features and modern day quality materials and fabrics. the watches can withstand the test of time, though all your adventures.

materials such as italian leather to the straps, add sophistication and with waterproofing up to 100m - the watches are perfect for the summers spent at sea.

one of the most exciting features of the watches is the interchangeable faces and straps, you can mix and match colour palettes to suit your mood or outfit in just a matter of seconds – making your watch unique and the perfect wardrobe addition.

i have absolutely fallen in love with the portland face, i would match it with the perfect sky blue or delicious mint strap - the perfect colourway for these cold spring mornings!

the watches come beautifully packaged in a branded box, with woven bag – ready to wear and fall in love with. whats more is the straps are completely affordable, retailing at £15 so you can mix and match until your hearts content.

i have absolutely fallen for this brand and know you all will also once you take a look at the online store. shore projects also donate £1 for every watch they sell to the RNLI, letting us give a little back to those who protect the coastline we all love.

stussy ss '14 lookbook - south beach lovin'

it may not seem it, but summer is finally on it's way (we hope) and lifestyle kings stussy release their spring summer 2014 lookbook to accompany the brightening weather. showcasing again their skills to encapsulate women's streetwear perfectly the lookbook is fun with looks i could see myself wearing.

consisting of cropped tanks, tees, jackets and bucket hats to accessorise, there are plenty of styles to mix and match. a washed out colour palette keeps it simple with even a hermes style tank making it into the mix.

my favourite pieces have to be the black tshirt with red stussy logo along with the 8 ball jacket and aztec print crop top. the collection has a south beach feel with bold tropical coloured prints and iconic stussy branding through out.

the perfect collection for holiday and festival season, the brand keep it real with easy, no fuss fashion.

check out the lookbook below, and look out for the collection dropping online soon!
