in my eyes, simplicity is the finest form of sophistication and when adding the finishing touches to your outfit jewellery is very important. i live a monochrome life, most of my wardrobe is back, grey with a hint of white – so the best way for me to add a pop of colour, or detail is with rings and bracelets. It’s an easy way too brighten an outfit, without adding (in my eyes) too much pattern or too much print.

cred jewellery are based in London and are the original 100% fair-trade accredited jewellery brand. we’re surrounded by fair-trade markets for food and produce, but i (like many of us) never really thought about how we source our gold and silver, assuming terribly that most big name brands did look to source fairly.

i usually have an issue with finding rings to fit, most brands tend to size up slightly big for me, but the forget me knot ring was perfect. constructed out of delicately knotted white gold, it is very eye-catching and showcases perfectly that understated jewellery is an excellent compliment to an outfit – diamonds are not (always) a necessity!

anchor & skull tie bracelet - £39 (*)

these anchor and skull tie bracelets are perfect, i love how minimal they are, something you could wear everyday without it being too heavy or clunky against other pieces. the bracelets are a very reasonable £39 and are available in a range of colours. i've been wearing mine with my shore projects watch, i love to accessorise but don’t want anything which could scratch whilst wearing my watch – these bracelets are the perfect minimalistic compliment. also, anchors and skulls - it's as if daisy knight read my mind!

the beautifully crafted cut out filigree rings are perfect to wear separate or together, again I was very impressed with the fit and sizing. I love cut out detailing, although sometimes I can border on too bulky for my fingers – but cred have nailed it, designing pieces which fit perfectly and compliment the female form. i decided to wear mine together, however they acted as a statement piece when worn alone. the rings are handmade in nepal, by the harigni cooperative - making them an even more special addition to your collection. made from 100% recycled silver and plated in 18ct fair-trade gold, they are fantastically good value at £50, and are executed to the highest standard.
